IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO DO THIS, PLEASE TALK TO ME FIRST ABOUT DETAILS FOR GETTING EXTRA CREDIT.

Dr. Brad Bushman, Professor of Communication at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and Jodi Whitaker, Doctoral Candidate at The Ohio State University, are seeking individuals interested in participating in a study of individual differences on variety of tasks called “Individual Differences and Visual Performance.” This research takes place in 339 Journalism Building.

For this project, you will be asked to come into a lab and perform three different tasks: complete a survey of individual differences, play a video game, and fire a police training gun.

The study should take about 1 hour to complete. Participation in this study is completely voluntary. Your information will be responses during the study will be kept confidential. You will receive course extra credit for your participation in this research project; this is typically 1-2% of your final grade, according to School of Communications policy. If you choose to participate, you can choose to skip any question you do not want to answer by leaving the question blank and continuing to the next question. You can also choose skip any activity you are not comfortable doing. You may also withdraw from the study at any time without repercussion. *If you do not wish to participate in this project but would like an opportunity to receive extra credit for your class, you can contact the researcher and complete a 1-page written assignment as an alternative extra credit opportunity.
